Yesterday, with the help of local and international volunteers, we planted 203 trees at Al Numeira Environmental Association. It was a great show of support from our community. All it took was a few text messages to bring people out. We calculated 160 hours of labor, all told.

We plan to have an open-house once a month to work on various improvement projects around the site. Next month, we hope to incur 200 man hours, inshallah.

Hi Al Numeira folks,
Glad to see you’re planting trees!
Mabrouk on mobilizing the community!
Just wanted to let you know that the Royal Botanic Garden is promoting the use of native trees, as they are best suited to Jordan’s weather.
If you would like any advice about the native plants and trees that grow best in your area, please feel free to contact us.
