Composting is part of a sustainable and cycling way of life : composting is using the organic waste, that are unsuitable for human consumption, and converting it through a biological process into a soil, rich in nutrients and proper for growing plants.
In the case of Al Numeira Environmental Association, we are producing every day raw organic waste from the kitchen, as we are serving around twenty visitors with vegetarian food from vegetables from the farm. The waste from the cooking activities is therefore turnt into a resource for the gardening and farming activities.
This compost installation is also a way of giving an example of what can be done in the houses of our community, as education to environmentally respectful practices is always in the heart of our project. We are training our coworkers and demonstrating to our visitors what is possible to achieve with composting in the scale of our NGO.
